Christmas is by far my favorite time of year. Being born and raised in Colorado, I've seen my fair share of white, cold, blizzardy Christmases, but this year has taken the cake as far as white, cold and blizzardy is concerned. As misarable as it is outside when the wind blows and the temperature drops below zero, nothing can compare in my mind and spirit to a white Christmas! I love snuggling under a warm, cozy blanket, drinking hot chocolate or tea, and reading a good book with my kids.

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and prosperous new year blessed with love, health and vision for what is yet to come!

Update...

Okay, so I need to get better about the blog thing and doing it as often as I write. I've made a great habit of writing every day even if I didn't know what I was going to write about, and it has paid off. I can't stand NOT writing now.

So, I found out yesterday that my youngest daughter gave the child support check her dad and stuck in her backpack that was supposed to come home to me, to her teacher at school. Hmmm...

The ladies in the office at school thought it was humorous, as did I. Kids are funny. She found a check and knew it she shouldn't have it so give it to an adult. Thank goodness it was her teacher and not the homeless guy at the corner!

I submitted some work to a start up magazine geared towards new writers and artists. Two-Bits Magazine is set to launch Feb. 1, 2010 and will be publishing new work. We'll see!

Celebrate!

Well, it is a day to celebrate because I am taking the necessary steps to becoming a successful writer. I set up my official blog, am working on setting up a website, and of course, am writing and writing and writing...

I love to write poetry, but am working on my first novel.

What are you working on? I would love to hear what you are celebrating today...
